EPISODE 8
Nana Kwadwo opened his eyes slowly.
He was lying in bed, naked, and Oforiwaa was sitting beside him, looking at him with a most tender expression.
Nana Kwadwo blinked and then grimaced as pain racked through his head, almost splitting his head in two.
“Oforiwaa?” he asked, dazed. “What are you doing here?”
“I came looking for you at dawn, my love,” she said tremulously. “You said over the phone that your wife wasn’t around, and you sounded so distraught that I came to check up on you. I found you drunk on the floor, and you had vomited a lot.”
Nana Kwadwo recalled the terrible incidents that had led to his drunken rage, and his lips began to tremble. He tried to prop himself up but his head thudded again, and he felt so weak and nauseous.
She reached over, and put a hand on his bare chest.
“Sorry, love, must be a hangover,” she said gently. “Prepared you warm chocolate, your favourite. And made your favourite shredded chicken pie too. You can take it with a pain reliever for the headache.”
Nana Kwadwo was indeed feeling ravenously angry. He got out of bed, and realized they were in another bedroom in the cabin, not the master bedroom, and he was grateful.
He covered himself with the cloth and padded into the bathroom, his mind once again filled with thoughts of his wife.
Nana Kwadwo took a cold shower, brushed his teeth, and returned to the bedroom in a robe.
Oforiwaa served him in a nice tray, and he gratefully took breakfast.
“I don’t understand, Oforiwaa,” he said as he looked at her sad face. “How did you know we were coming to the Sinai Hills for our honeymoon, and how did you locate the cabin?”
“Oh, your friend and Best Man, Kuuku Bamford, told me about Sinai Hills,” she said with a sad smile. “You know Kuuku never forgave me for hurting you, and he wanted to rub it in. As for the cabin, I told the hotel manager that I was your cousin, and needed to locate you. He fixed the location on the GPS for me.”
“I see,” he said softly.
“Where’s she, Nana?” she asked softly.
He smiled sadly.
“My wife’s not here,” he said sadly. “And I don’t think she’ll be back any moment soon.”
Oforiwaa cast a quick look at his ring-less finger. She had taken note of the fact that he was not wearing his wedding ring the moment she had come in and found him on the floor.
And the fact that he had been drunk really made her happy because she knew just how much he abhorred alcohol.
Evidently, his wife was making him very much unhappy less than a day of marriage and that fact suited Oforiwaa just fine, and made her glad.
There was silence between them as he ate, and then he took the pain reliever.
Oforiwaa cleared the table and went to the kitchen to wash up. When she came back to the bedroom he was lying on his side and wearing the most pained expression she had ever seen.
She stood by the side of the bed, biting her lower lip, and then she suddenly reached behind her and pulled down the zipper on her dress, pulled the straps off her shoulders, and let the dress slip down to her feet.
She was wearing sheer white panties and bra.
Dark and incredibly curvy, she looked beautiful and irresistible.
Nana Kwadwo saw her and turned on his back.
“No, Oforiwaa,” he whispered as she dropped on the bed beside him and put a hand to his lips.
“No, Nana, my prince, my love, don’t speak, please!” she whispered, and tears shimmered in her eyes and slowly spilled down her face. “You can keep me as a mistress if you want, Nana. I found out I just can’t live without you, and that I made the most terrible mistake of my life. Just for a minute, my prince. Love me!”
“Oforiwaa!” Nana Kwadwo whispered. “This is not…”
She didn’t let him finish.
She pressed close to him, and her lips fell on his. Her hand roamed his chest as she kissed him desperately. Nana kissed her back, lost in the heat of the passion, his hands roaming her body. Desperately she unhooked her bra and shook her breasts free, and pushed her nipples into his mouth.
Her hand pulled her panties down and she kicked it free. Their lips met again, and she groaned with desire and pushed him down, and then her lips blazed down his body, his taut stomach, and crept lower.
A moment later her lips settled over his erection, and as Nana Kwadwo moaned with pleasure, he turned his head, and his eyes fell on his wedding finger…with no ring on it!
He had thrown his ring away!
That was the one thing she had begged him most not to do!
He kept looking at his ring finger, and the more he looked at it the less he concentrated on the pleasure Oforiwaa was giving him.
She felt his erection dwindling, and she moved her lips faster, but he kept growing smaller and flabby.
Desperately she moved up his body, trying to straddle him.
Nana Kwadwo held her, and firmly pushed her off him, and put her down. He stood up, and she reached for him frantically.
“Nana, my love, my love, please don’t do this to me!” she groaned in anguish. “I’ve offered myself to you, please don’t shame me!”
He looked at her, and he stood up and picked up his robe.
“This is wrong, Oforiwaa, I’m sorry,” he said as he pulled on the robe and belted it. “I forgot that I called God to witness my Vows, Oforiwaa. This is a sin against my God. Adultery, in any form, is detestable to Him. I’m sorry, Oforiwaa.”
Her tears were hot on her face, and her voice trembled as she looked at him.
“What about me, Nana?” she asked tremulously, shattered. “I need you, Nana. I love you! I’ve never stopped loving you! I’ll die I if I lose you completely!”
He nodded, and his face remained sad.
“I’ve been terrified by the devil, Oforiwaa,” he said calmly. “The last few hours have been hell, and indeed I almost went mad. But this is a union God saw fit, because God indeed loves me, and He will never hurt me. I believe my role in Ewura Akua’s life is to help her cross a bridge, but I have failed so far.”
He turned and walked toward the door, but he stopped suddenly and looked back at her.
“Get dressed and come join me in the living-room, Oforiwaa,” he said calmly. “We’ll find the peace we need together in prayer. I’ll say a prayer for you, yes. And I’m going on my knees to pray to my Lord to fight for my wife. Hurry up and join me.”
He walked out then.
Oforiwaa remained on the bed, clutching the white sheets to her naked body as she wept bitterly, her heart broken.
***
The Lusty demon slithered deliciously down Ledi Pedi’s body, and her hands played a sweet melody on his turgid staff.
She was on her knees, her tongue licking around her lips as she brought her tongue close to his member, and then she opened her mouth to take him in.
The door flew inward suddenly from the outside, and Pastor Ogum Narh came into the room, wearing a motorbike helmet on his head, the visor down, and he was holding a gigantic black Bible in both hands.
Ewura Akua’s eyes opened with sudden apprehension. She directed her lustful blast at Pastor Narh, but the motorbike helmet blocked her thrusts, and she wasn’t aware too that the old man had pushed cotton wax into his ears.
Pastor Narh slammed the heavy Bible into Ewura Akua’s face, and as she squealed with fury and fell back, hitting the back of her head on the floor, the old man grabbed Ledi by the collar of his jacket and pulled him forcibly through the door.
Lusty got off the floor and rushed toward them, but Pastor Narh pulled the door shut and turned the key.
“No, no, no!” she screamed, hurling herself hard against the door.
Ledi reached for the door blindly, still trapped in the web of the demon’s manipulation.
Pastor Narh removed his helmet and slammed it with all the force he could muster into Ledi’s face.
Ledi groaned with pain as his nose broke. The sharp pain seared through him, and a moment later he looked at the old man with shock.
“What the f**k, Father!” Ledi explained as blood fell down his nose.
He pulled up his trousers and boxers, buttoned and then zipped up.
But Pastor Narh could not hear him, and so he removed the cotton wax from his ears.
“You were going to have sex with the demon, you fool!” Pastor Narh whispered.
“Hey, old man!” Ewura Akua said sultrily from behind the locked door. “I am so wet for you! Come to me!”
Pastor Narh’s old, shrivelled member jingled at the sound of such a sexy voice, and as the powerful vibes of the demon washed over him, he began to erect, and he turned toward the door, reaching for the key.
“Oh, dear!” Pastor Narh whispered, aroused. “She’s so glorious. I’m gonna swim in her!”
Ledi grabbed the pastor’s wrist and began pulling him fiercely toward the door.
Pastor Narh went livid with rage, and began to scream and smash Ledi’s face with his free hand.
“Leave me alone, you bastard!” he screamed in a maddened voice. “Let me be! Let me swim! Ledi, let me go and swim, you bastard!”
“Come, Ogum, come and swiiiim!” Lusty muttered. “It’s all warm and wet!”
Old Pastor Narh was kicking angrily, and one of his kicks caught Ledi in the balls. Ledi grunted and almost fell, but he held on grimly even as the old man was hitting him savagely across the face and the head.
Ledi caught the old man in wrestle hold and slammed him against the front door. The old man grunted, and as he began to fall, Ledi Pedi wrenched the door open and they fell outside, and then he slammed the door shut.
They run across the courtyard to the far end of the Estate where there was a shed, and both of them collapsed weakly to the floor.
They looked at each other with horror.
“She’s so evil!” the old man whispered. “What are you going to do now?”
Ledi Pedi didn’t answer. He got up and walked to his Hummer, and threw the door open. He reached in and picked his phone, and dialled.
The call was picked up, and as Pastor Narh joined him, Ledi began to speak in a jabbering manner.
“Hey!” the man at the other end said. “Slow down, man. I can barely hear you!”
“Who is it?” Pastor Narh asked, and Ledi removed the phone from his ear and activated the speaker.
“I’m listening,” the calm, deep voice said.
Ledi took a deep sigh, and then slowly he explained everything, from what Pastor Narh had told him, to what he himself had gone through.
“What the hell is the matter with you?” the voice asked with arrogant disdain. “You let the damn demon seduce you? You got married just three weeks ago, you piece of crap!”
“Cut the bullshit, Yaw!” Ledi said angrily, but his voice was tinged with a note of shame. “Respect me.”
There was a bit of silence.
“Is it that Yaw Boat boy?” Pastor Narh asked with sudden shock. “The one that defeated the dreaded Legion?”
“Yes, same bastard!” Ledi said bitterly. “Arrogant son-of-a-bitch. Think his shit is lavender!”
Yaw Boat chuckled suddenly.
“This demon,” he said gently. “Did you see the mark of the beast on her forehead?”
Ledi’s brow screwed up.
“No, no, there was no mark,” he said carefully.
“And she was not inside the host, but around her, you say?”
“Yeah, Yaw,” Ledi said. “Never seen anything like it before. And I didn’t glow, and the name of Jesus Christ did nothing to her.”
“Mirror demon,” Yaw Boat said.
“What?” both Ledi and Pastor Narh enquired.
“New breed of very vindictive demons, Ledi,” Yaw Boat explained. “Came across a couple. The main demon, Lusty, is inside somebody else, but they are able to cast a shadow, and then they cover someone else and terrorize them.”
“Wait a sec,” old Pastor Narh said. “You mean the real demon, this Lusty, is occupying someone else, and the one around Ewura Akua is just a shadow?”
“Exacly, the mirror,” Yaw Boat said. “That is why Ledi’s force-field didn’t glow, and that was why she had no mark on her forehead, and didn’t respond to the exorcism. You need to identify the real Lusty, deal with her, and the girl will be free!”
“But how do I do that?” Ledi asked suddenly, frustrated. “How do I know where the real Lusty is?”
“Begin with those people who might hate this Ewura Akua woman,” Yaw Boat said. “Her ex-boyfriend, or boyfriends. The groom’s ex-girlfriend, and then the in-laws of both groom and bride. Someone didn’t want the two of them to get married, and has decided to use Lusty to torture them and break them up. Get the help of her husband, and narrow down the options.”
“Thanks, Yaw,” Ledi Pedi said. “I owe you one.”
“You were going to sleep with a demon,” Yaw Boat said with disdain again. “An experienced Unblind like you. What a crass man!”
“F**k you, Yaw,” Ledi said, and cut the call. “Where can we find this Nana Kwadwo bastard?”
“Ewura Akua showed me their cabin when she was lucid,” Pastor Narh said. “Come, I think I know where to locate it. Her ex-boyfriend too was near, she said. Let’s go, Ledi.”
Ledi jumped into the car and waited for Pastor Narh to join him. As they drive away Ledi looked at the old man.
“Swim?” he asked with a baffled expression.
“What?” Pastor Narh asked absent-mindedly.
“When Lusty – that’s the name of the demon possessing the girl, by the way – got to you, and that expired thing raised up, you said you wanted to swim in her. Swim? Really? What kind of daft expression is that?”
“Foolish boy,” Pastor Narh said, looking ashamed.
