Episode 2
LOCATION: GIBS ACADEMY
The GIBS ACADEMY was one of the most renowned schools in the country for its academic excellence and all.
The school was big and equipped with modern facilities. It had a very large compound with a quarter of it converted into a parking lot.
It had an IT laboratory with quality computers, a science laboratory, a library, a dining hall, a baseball court, a football field, a tennis court and a swimming pool for swimming classes.
Sponsors had invested in the school so students could get the best of education.
The GIBS ACADEMY had only two halls; the Ravens and the Owls. The school believed in students competing each other to bring the very best out of them.
GIBS ACADEMY only employed practical oriented staff for the students to bring the best in them.
This was the school that was locally and internationally recognized for its impact to students. It was every student’s choice to be selected for the GIBS ACADEMY and admissions were fiercely contested.
And that thought made Ama Konto proud of herself to be selected for such an honourable institution.
She stood beside her parents as they said their final good-byes. And it was all teary! Mother couldn’t let go of her only daughter and father couldn’t stop getting clingy and emotional.

Raymond stood by the window admiring the beautiful cars parents brought their wards in. Raymond was one of the teachers at the GIBS ACADEMY.
He was a fine young man, intelligent and smart.
He stood tall among his peers. He had a great physique; one his female colleagues couldn’t take their eyes off. He was fair with a smooth skin, brown eyes, dark hairy eyebrows, a pointed nose, red lips and an infectious smile.
He was such a fine handsome gentleman with almost feminine features!
Raymond was only twenty-five years and he had more than enough. He was a relative to the owners of the GIBS ACADEMY. As he admired the beautiful cars, his eyes eventually rested on Ama Konto and her family standing by taxi at the driving lot. Even with her back facing him, he knew she was a beautiful one.
She stood tall and beautiful, just like an angel. And he kept admiring her from the window.
“Leo, Leo! Come and look at this!” he said hastily. “The Lord has visited us today.”
Leonard was a colleague techer at the GIBS ACADEMY. He was mediumly built and not as tall as Raymond. He was handsome and smart, but of course, not as Raymond. The two were best friends and even acted more than that.
They had often been mistakenly considered as brothers by some parents!
Leo quickly moved to the window and stood beside Raymond as Raymond pointed in the direction of Ama Konto.
For a moment the two friends were lost for words and had nothing to say to each other rather than admiring the young lady.
“That is some beautiful fine ass creature bro,” Leo said. “Indeed, the Lord has visited us.”
Raymond sighed and looked at his friend. Leo immediately got the message and blocked his way
“No! No bro! When are you going to stop this life man?” Leo said worriedly. “See this man beside her in the smock? I wouldn’t dare if I were you. I don’t have a good feeling about this bro.”
Raymond looked at his friend for a second and smiled.
“Stop being superstitious man. It’s just an attire bro. I dey just go introduce myself,” he said laughing. “Besides this is a jackpot worth betting and I’m gonna…”
“It ain’t worth it, Ray!” Leo cut in sharply. ” This is a jackpot you shouldn’t hit! Odds ain’t in favour of you.”
“Stop that shit already Leo! I’m betting on this one and I’mma win. With or without you,” Ray said seriously and rushed for the door and went out.
Leonard stood by the window with a worried face as he saw his friend approaching the girl a few minutes later.
For once he was afraid for his friend because he never felt good about this move of his! But Raymond was a stubborn one and once he set his mind on something, he would get it no matter the odds.
And it occurred to him, what if he was only overreacting and being superstitious about this whole thing? This girl in question was such a beauty and if he played right with his friend, he could have a share of it.
And yes, that was what brothers do! Support him in every decision. And so, Leonard reluctantly made a decision!

Raymond had a great influence on people and in no time he had Ama Konto and her family under his spell.
“Don’t worry Mr. Kpakpo, your daughter is in great hands and a great school” he said convincingly “I will see to it personally that she gets everything she needs.”
“Thank you, sir. My wife and I are grateful for that! That was a worry to us. Thank you, Mr. Raymond,” he said thankfully.
“Oh, that’s what we do best here, Mr. Kpakpo” he said. “I will leave for you to say your final good-byes”
“Thank you, Mr. Raymond,” the older woman said thankfully.
Raymond nodded and left the family, smiling mischievously to himself.
“Let the game begin!” he said to himself.
Ama Konto hugged her parents and said her final goodbyes to them.
“Your chain stays with you, wherever you go, Bosomba,” he said seriously. “Always remember that.”
They got in the taxi, and Ama Konto waited and kept waving till the car drove through the electronic gates.
She took a deep breath and fought down the blues that threatened to drown her. She was alone now, and a new life awaited her!
Episode 3
The past few weeks had been amazing, hectic and tiring for Ama Konto, and of course other students as well.
It hadn’t been easy settling into the hectic bustle of a school like the GIBS ACADEMY where they expected nothing but the best out of its students. The new students were taken through series of orientation and Raymond had had the chance to share a few moments with Ama Konto.
She had suddenly become the face of the school. Her beauty was comparable to none. And she looked just like a goddess when she put on her school uniform which fit her amazingly.
There had been some quite embarrassing moments for Ama Konto, but she had sailed through quickly. Of course, Kimberly Afriyie had been a huge help to her as she settled in the modern world around her.
Ama Konto had screamed and almost fled when she entered the amazing bathroom in the Ravens Hall. She was pretty amazed to see water coming out through tiny holes in the shower and she wondered how humanely possible that could be!
The swimming pool swept her off her feet when she saw a group of students taking their swimming lessons. She screamed, warning them that the water would carry them away and had run off immediately from the place.
Her unusual behaviour had shocked most of the students, and some openly discussed her weirdness and claiming they could not associate themselves with such a person.
But Kimberly had been exceptional. She had always protected Ama, been patient and chosen to teach her the way around the new technological advancements the poor girl was seeing for the first time in her life.
“You’ve been a great help to me, Kim,” she said thankfully. “Honestly, I would have ran home knowing how well I don’t fit in here.”
“I’ve become fond of you Ama, I must say,” Kim said. “You’re so beautiful with a great heart, and those scumbags don’t deserve you as a friend.”
Ama Konto laughed softly and looked gratefully at her friend. The only person who had stood up for her in the school.
“Scumbag? What does that even mean?” she enquired.
“You know, when people aren’t friendly to you, there are a whole lot of names you could give them,” Kim explained.
“Like?”
“Scumbag, sssholes, fuc..”
“Oh, I like asshole!” Ama said quickly but funnily.
The two friends laughed heartily at that.

It had been two months already since Ama Konto’s admission and she had settled in quite okay.
The headmaster, Mr. Michael Adom, was celebrating his fifty-third birthday and had invited all parents, thereby giving them some time to have with their kids.
Ama’s parents had come in their best clothes and they were amazed at how their daughter had quickly adjusted to life at the school.
It was a whole new wave of emotions when Ama Konto walked through the people to find her parents. She was in a new African print dress that stopped just above her knees and she looked just like a goddess.
Father and mother knew no boundaries when they saw how glorious their daughter looked and couldn’t let go of her.
“Oh, there sweetheart. My pride! You never cease to make your mother and myself happy,” Mr. Kpakpo said happily. “My priceless jewel”
He hugged his daughter tightly as the mother joined in, filled with emotions.
“My joy, my happiness! Look how more beautiful you’ve become, my daughter,” the elder woman said emotionally. “I miss you, Bosomba. We do!”
Ama Konto filled her parents in on how she was coping in the school. And seeing her parents again was actually the good thing that ever happened to her.
She introduced her friend to her parents, and told them how helpful and nice Kimberly had been. Mr. Kpakpo and his wife never got tired of thanking Kimberly for her help to their daughter.
It had been a wonderful evening!
Mr. Kpakpo warned his daughter again to always keep her chain with her anywhere she went before they returned to the village.

The night had been special for Raymond and Leonard as well. All Raymond did was to spy on the beautiful Ama Konto and admiring how beautiful she looked in that dress.
Leonard on the other hand had been hitting some radical zones all night with a hooker he had brought to the after party.
Leonard had spent the night outside campus. The following morning, when he returned early to their campus room, he found Raymond standing by the window still in his tuxedo with a glass of wine in hand.
As happy as Leonard would expect Raymond to be, he found it quite surprising to see his friend in that way.
“What the matter with you Ray?” he questioned.
Raymond sighed and turned and emptied the wine in the glass. He walks over and looks Leonard in the eye and smiled.
“It’s time,” he said.
