Topic: Agents of Direction
At this time Aramean raiders had invaded the land of Israel, and among their captives was a young girl who had been given to Naaman’s wife as a maid.
2 Kings 5:2 (NLT)
Sober Reflections
God places people in our lives for specific purposes but more often than not, we do not identify God’s purpose for those people in our lives.
In our opening scripture, a young jewish girl was sent to Naaman’s house to serve his wife.
Naaman was the commander of the Syrian army and the Lord had given him great victories. Even though, Naaman was a successful soldier, he had leprosy.
The young maid told her mistress about the prophet of Isreal who could heal the commander of his leprosy.
On hearing this, Naaman took the necessary steps and went to see the prophet who healed him of his leprosy.
Sisters, anyone God brings into our lives comes to serve a specific purpose. It does not matter the status of the person. In the case of Naaman, it was his wife’s maid; as insignificant as she might have been to him, he received his healing by heeding her directions. Let us not look down on people no matter who they are.
May the Lord give us insight
Prayer
Thank You Father God for the people You place in my life to be of blessing to me.
Holy Spirit, please help me to treat all the people You bring my way with love and respect that the purpose of God shall come to pass in my life in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
