Even in the Dark
by Rosamel Naa Adoley Addo
When life feels…meaningless,
And you look around
but everything feels stuck,
like there’s no way out…
Breathe.
Because even in the dark,
You can still find your spark.
Persistence…
Determination…
They’re not just words,
They’re wings.
They lift you,
even when no one claps for your flight.
They say,
“Do something big so people will see you!”
But sometimes
you’re already doing everything,
and they still turn away.
You start to feel invisible,
unwanted,
like you don’t belong.
You whisper,
“Maybe I’m not enough.”
But no.
You are enough.
And even when the world won’t watch
push through.
Because one day,
You’ll rise from all this,
and they’ll say,
“I always knew you’d make it.”
But you’ll know
You made it because you never stopped believing.
