EPISODE 15

Ledi Pedi stood for a long time looking at the path as it meandered its way through the forest. The moon was up, and it cast an eerie silver sheen on the trees, illuminating the fact that the trees were not clustered but were standing spaces apart.

It was a clear night, serene almost, and to any ordinary person it would have been a pleasant time to take a little stroll through the forest, but Ledi knew better. He knew it bode evil, and that this journey he was about to undertake was, perhaps, the hardest he had taken so far as an Unblind.

He took a deep breath to gather his nerves, and then he fell slowly to his knees at the entrance of the path. His head dropped, and he laced his hand behind his back in a gesture of submission.

“I have no strength, my Lord, my Father,” he prayed softly. “As I enter this lair of evil, let Your grace be sufficient for me. In the name of my Lord Jesus Christ have I prayed…amen.”

Ledi Pedi got to his feet, and then he walked slowly down the path that meandered its way through the trees to the lake.

The moment he entered, he heard them!

They were all around him, evil little voices that whispered damnation into his head and tried to tear his sanity away!

He could see arms around the trees, but he could not see the bodies of the people. However, he heard the whispers.

“Leeedi, Leeedi, Leeedi!”

Ghostly whispers, coming from the trees! He could see pale faces moving on the trees, an he saw figures materialising out of the fog, swirling toward him, giggling, and then disappearing!

Ledi’s footsteps began to falter as his heart raced harder.

“I am an Unblind of God!” he shouted suddenly, and his voice reverberated across the evil forest, and then, thankfully, he began to glow brilliantly!

He heard the screeches of fear from the evil entities around him, and he smiled bleakly.

Ledi trudged on with quickening steps, forcing himself not to break into a run. Running would be a silent admission of uncertainty, and he knew that any little show of being uncertain would force the evil around him to attack his weakness relentlessly until he was laid bare.

The path curved sharply around the trees, and when he took the bend, he saw the three men standing there in the middle of the path!

They were all naked, except the clerical collar around their necks, suggesting they were pastors!

But they had no heads!

Their heads were lying between their legs, upside down, eyes filled with horror as they stared at Ledi.

“Goooo back!” their heads said in unison. “She cut off our heads! She will cut off your head! Goooo back, Ledi! Goooo back!”

The fear was like a sledgehammer that slammed through Ledi’s heart! His heart missed beats, and for a moment he was trembling so badly that even his eyes trembled.

He tried to speak, but for a moment nothing came out.

Suddenly, he felt slimy hands reaching out of the fog, touching him, dragging across his face! Shadowy, whitish hands played down his body! The limbs of the trees reached out for him, clamping around his face.

“You’re not real!” Ledi Pedi screamed harshly. “I banish you to the depths of Hades in the name of Jesus Christ!”

The tree headless men disappeared with their heads, and the evil figures around him retreated with screams of terror.

He took deep breaths, and he felt the sweat running down his face and body in torrents, and then he began to walk again, his steps quickening, much against his will.

The forest seemed to be closing in on him, and it was getting darker and darker, and the sounds around him were much more ominous and deadly.

Suddenly, the path took a steep downhill turn, and the ground was so slippery that he slipped, and went tumbling head-over-heels down the incline. He tried to check his fall, but to no avail, and finally his back slammed into something hard and unyielding, jarring his whole body and making his head thump with a vicious pain.

Ledi Pedi moaned in anguish and fought the darkness that threatened to assail him, and as he lay panting for breath he gathered all his strength, and got up on his knees, and when he turned it was there…a cemetery!

An eerie, moon-washed scary cemetery with cold white tombstones and headstones!

All around him he could hear the groovy, scary voices, chanting his name, driving him mad, making him crazy!

“Leeeeediiiiiii! Leeeeeediiiiiii! Gooooo baaaaaack Leeeeediiiiiiii!”

Many voices, voices he could not see, voices shattering his eardrums!

And then he saw them…

Scary, evil demons coming out of the graves!

The stones were breaking with horrible crackling sounds as ghostly figures emerged, draped in white, faces and limbs half-eaten like zombies, shimmering terribly as their devilish teeth clamped down on horrible clacking sounds!

“We are coming for you, Leeeeeddiiiiiiiiii!” they chanted now!

And all Ledi Pedi wanted to do now was turn round and flee from the horrible scene!

Never in his life had he felt such horror, and in the depths of his panic, at the moment when the evil beings were reaching out their evil claws and horrible teeth to rip into him, Ledi summoned the last vestiges of his waning sanity and screamed with all his strength:

“And I draw my strength from Deuteronomy chapter thirty-one, the verse said, and my Lord told me, be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord, my God, is coming with me, and He will never leave me, nor forsake me!”

He took a step forward, his right hand raised.

“Be gone, evil, be gone, for the name of Jesus Christ gives me utter dominion over you!”

And they were gone.

Just like that.

And the cemetery was gone, and he was once more on the path.

Ledi Pedi breathed deeply, his whole body covered with sweat, as if water had been poured on him.

He forced himself to move forward, one step at a time.

He spoke as he walked.

“Isaiah forty-one, ten tells me something beautiful!” Ledi whispered. “So do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous hand!”

He moved on, and now he could see the sheen of the lake in the distance!

Almost there!

And then, he heard the screams!

The screams of children!

His prince! His princess!

To his right!

“Daddyyyyyyy!” Ledi’s son screamed.

“Oh, Dadddyyyyyy!” his daughter cried out.

Heart ripping apart, Ledi spun to his right, and then he saw them!

It was the accident again!

The accident that had claimed the lives of his wife and his children!

He saw the burning car, the fire consuming it, and he saw his children trapped inside, the flames licking across their faces…and they were screaming and weeping!

His children were burning to death!

“Nana!” Ledi screamed, running furiously toward the burning car. “Oh, my Princess, my love! God help meeeee! God save them! Pleaseeeee!!”

Ledi could feel the heat of the fire on his face!

And on the floor of the forest, Ledi reached frantically for the handle of the car, to open the door and free his children!

He was so consumed with sheer love for his children, and their agony, and in that instant his faith was gone, and reality was stolen from him!

He wept in anguish as his fury mounted, not understanding why God should do this to him, why the God he worshipped so wholeheartedly couldn’t save his children!

And as Ledi fought frantically to release his children, his fury mounted unrelentlessly, his force-field disappeared, and he was once more a lost, lost, Unblind!

And in that instant the burning car disappeared, and suddenly he was surrounded by a bevy of the most beautiful, sexy, naked women he had ever seen!

They whirled around him, whispering, touching him, darting fingers around him!

Ledi Pedi was lost!

A soft nipple was pushed into his mouth, and one of his hands was taken and placed between the legs of one of the naked women, who moaned tenderly, lusciously, dripping sweetness on Ledi’s fingers!

One of the women pushed into him and put her lips on his, kissing him tenderly, lustfully!

Ledi curled his arm around her waist and kissed her gently, sweetly, his fingers moving along the curve of her hip and grabbing her sweet buttocks!

“Luuuuuust, Ledi!” the naked women were all whispering. “Luuuuuuust, Ledi, oh, yessssss! That’s so sweet, Ledi! Faster and harder, Ledi! Rub me, oh, yeeesssss!”

Ledi Pedi was aware that his fly was open, and sweet fingers were reaching inside for his turgid member!

It was a fantasy come true, to make love to so many beautiful multi-national women!

He saw Europeans, Americans, Asians, Arabs, and Africans!

They swirled around him, their loins glowing and dripping with lust, so sweetly rounded, so incredibly curved!

Slowly, they wrestled him down on the floor of the forest, and he felt himself dissolving in the lips of one of the women, an Asian!

Some were kissing his nipples, others were kissing his lips.

Their hands all over him!

Some had impaled themselves on his fingers, bucking their buttocks delicisously on his fingers!

The Asian stood up, and an American took her place, slipping her sweet lips around Ledi’s erection.

“Leeeeediiiiiii!” one of them groaned as she slowly peeled her G-string down her long, smooth legs!

All the other women moved away now as the American stepped across Ledi’s body, totally naked.

Her lower lip was clamped in her mouth seductively as her fingers slowly caressed her nipples and came down to her inner core, rubbing herself seductively!

Ledi was breathless with desire!

His erection was long, big and proud as he lay on his back on that evil forest!

“I want to be in you so badly!” Ledi whispered.

The American nodded, moaning as she began to lower herself on him.

“Yessssss, Leeeeeediiiiiii!” she hissed with lust. “I want you in me! Oh, I need you in me so baaaaaad!”

And as she began to bend, and Ledi’s charmed mind saw a very beautiful woman with dripping wet inner hole, he had no idea that it was indeed a huge, poisonous King Cobra snake which was lowering its gaping mouth on his erection to deliver the bite of death!

And, in that instant…his phone rang in his pocket!

The sound was the instrumental version of Amazing Grace, the tone he had saved Yaw Boat’s number with!

The calm tone of the phone made the evil women freeze!

It was just a ringtone, but it sounded in the darkness of that evil forest like it was coming from giant speakers!

The jarring sounds made the horrible snakes around Ledi contort with sudden agony, and it blasted the web of evil lust that they had trapped Ledi Pedi in!

Ledi desperately clawed it out of his pocket, and he gasped with profound relief when he saw the face of Yaw Boat on the phone.

Tears fell down Ledi’s face as his trembling finger slid the answer button to accept the call, and then he activated the speaker.

“Yaw!” Ledi groaned painfully.

Boat’s voice was calm.

“Worried about you, old man,” Yaw Boat said. “You okay? Any headway with Lusty?”

And that was when Ledi Pedi saw that he was surrounded by huge, poisonous King Cobras all rearing about him to strike!

And, horror of horrors, one was poised on his erection, just inches from swallowing him!

“Burn, in the name of Jesus Christ, burn, burn, burn, oh Jesus, oh Jesus, burn, burn!”

And the gigantic snakes began to burn furiously as Ledi Pedi rolled away and moved from them with horror.

He was aware, finally, that Yaw Boat was screaming in the background.

Ledi quickly fished his earphones out of his pocket and fixed them on the phone.

“Yaw!”

“Hey, what the hell was that?” Yaw Boat asked, his voice almost angry.

“Yaw, Yaw, Yaw!” Ledi said as he brushed sweat and tears from his eyes, his face still horrified as he pushed his flaccid tool into his boxers and zippled up. “Do you have credit, man?”

“I always have credit,” Boat said pompously. “What’s eating you?”
“You’re right, man, you’re right!” Ledi said, still shaking hard. “Lusty is awful. Stay on the phone, Yaw. I’m inside some bad forest, evil things happening. Please, Yaw, keep me company! Don’t cut the call.”

There was some silence.

And then Boat spoke.

“I’m here, old man,” he said calmly.

“Good, Yaw, thanks, bro,” Ledi said tremulously, his voice shaking badly now as he tried to push his tears away.

They continued to converse as Ledi Pedi walked…and he was now glowing fiercely again after secretly praying for strength and asking for forgiveness!

He didn’t run; he just walked leisurely, until suddenly the forest cleared, and the huge lake spread out in front of him!

The moonlight shone on the lake, making it appear like a sheet of dark blue silver!

And standing on the water, a little far away, was Mrs. Kwakyewa Manso!

And embedded deeply in her, gloating, was the demon Lusty!

Ledi Pedi stayed on the bank, watching that evil spirit hovering on the pool, so that Mrs. Kwakyewa Manso did not sink into the waker!

She was standing on the lake!

Ledi saw Lusty for the first time!

And she also saw him!
