MARRIED CHEATERS
EPISODE 12
As I left the washroom and walked through the corridor that led to the boarding gate of the first-class ticket holders, I heard a man calling me from behind but I pretended as if I wasn’t hearing him calling me, the man had to run and catch up with me, I was sweating badly and my movement now looked suspicious to him so he ordered I stood there with him as he gave some orders to some junior ranked officers to come to where we stood. I had surveyed the whole section of the first-class waiting room to see if I could see Queenstar around but she was nowhere to be found. The junior officer joined us in no time and I was asked to follow them to their interrogation room for further questioning but before then the man who stopped me told me to close my flap since my thing was hiding there, I quickly closed it looking embarrassed though since the junior officers who came there had females to be the majority.

I was led to a big office filled with screens which had every part of the airport been displayed on it, the man who stopped me whom I suspected to be the head of that department made a call to the navigation room or control room for them to stop the plane I was supposed to board from docking the runway. I was a bit nervous of what was happening and no one was saying anything to me or what was going on, I later saw the lady officer I banged some few minutes ago exchanging serious words with the senior immigration officer who called me back to question me on what he was yet to unveil to me. I was by now sweating badly even though I was seated right in front of a central air condition. Later, the lady officer and the senior officer came to me to ask me some questions and requested to see my passport, I asked them what the problem was but none of them spoke or answered my question. Later I saw myself on one of the screens when I was about to enter the washroom.
I realised I did something suspicious before entering the washroom and that thing was me looking left and right and also trying to put something in my pocket, I guess the senior officer saw me as a drug peddler, later some junior officers came to the office with sniffing dogs with the report that they didn’t see anything inside the washroom. All of a sudden I don’t know what entered into my head as I rose to my feet and insisted someone say something to me before I sue them for harassment and unlawful delay to catch up with my flight, just as I made that comment someone spoke in the walkie talkie of the senior officer that they had apprehended the suspect they perceived was carrying some tons of drugs on him, immediately the lady officer spoke and she was like “I told you, sir, that he was innocent and clean from any drug issues”.
I cut in on their conversation that I hadn’t been invited to speak or say anything, “oh so you invited me here by delaying me to catch up with my wife and the others on board because of drug-related issues?”. How do you see me in the first place, you have unlawfully detained and delayed me for a stupid reason, I will sue you and the entire immigration service for every pesewa your service owns. I walked out of their office immediately and the senior officer chased after me to calm my anger down by pleading with me that it was a mistake of the wrong identity so he entreated me to sweep the matter under the carpet and overlook their mistake. Well, we all deserve to be forgiven when we are wronged either directly or indirectly. I gave in to his apologies because that was the best way to live a free and healthy life. He later volunteered to drop me on the runway with a service car which was on standby so I could join the others. As we were moving I heard my name been mentioned and from the voice, I heard I knew it was Queenstar who was calling me from behind, I turned and she ran into my arms with a series of questions as to where I was.

I told her the immigration officers detained me for a wrong identity but they have been able to identify and apprehend the very culprit, so we were good to go since they had caused a delay of the flight so there was no cause for alarm, the worrisome look on her face disappeared and she started smiling again to the admiration of everyone present but in my head guilt had swallowed me because of my illegal extramarital affair. She knew I wasn’t looking cheerful though so she asked me what the problem was.
Do I confess to her now or wait till we back from our vacation overseas?
Queenstar knew I wasn’t looking cheerful so she asked what the problem was? I told her I will tell her everything the moment we settle down in the plane, we descended the staircase which led to the runway and sat in the car that had been kept on standby for us by the senior immigration officer, the car took off with its siren blurring very loudly and in a matter of seconds we were in front of the plane, by then the plane’s door had been closed and people on board were very angry because some had business appointments to catch up with whiles some were disturbed because they didn’t know what the hold up was for. The senior immigration officer spoke with the people in the navigation room to send over the car that had the staircase case at its back so we could make use of it to board the plane. The car that had the staircase at its back came in no time but some officials from the navigation room followed and demanded explanations as to why some people were been brought to the runway to board the plane whiles boarding time was over and the plane was supposed to be in the air by then.
The senior officer explained to them and even though the officials were not convinced with the explanation they still had to permit us to board the plane, they spoke to their colleagues back at the navigation room to inform the pilot and crew to open the door of the plane, in less than 2minutes the door was opened by one of the air hostesses on board and we climbed the stairs to meet her, Queenstar brought our passports and tickets out from her handbag and showed it to her, she checked the ticket very well to make sure that we had the right tickets. After a little assessment she welcomed and ushered us in into the plane and directed us to the first class section of the plane, I could see anger in the faces of many when we passed the economy section of the plane, some chuckled whiles others looked at us with murderous looks but I told Queenstar not to be bothered with the reception we were been greeted with, we overlooked their welcome and took our seats inside the first class section of the plane.
As we sat down finally the air hostess locked the door after which she announced to everyone to fasten his or her seatbelt because the flight will be taking off anytime soon, Queenstar shared a prayer with me before the plane finally took off and Paris here we came, honestly travelling in the first class of a plane was awesome, the kind of treatment and attention you got from the pilot and the air hostesses was just amazing because everything was at your disposal(you were served with different bottles of wines, got the best part of the food that was served and in some cases you were even given the chance to join the pilot at the cockpit). As the flight was a six hours journey we talked about a lot of things concerning the previous day which was our wedding day, the guest, the after party, our first night together as couples, sex and the surprises that popped up, we made fun of each other as to where anyone of us fell short, later we converted the conversation to the incident that took place at the airport earlier on before the plane took off. I told Queenstar that as I excused myself from her back at the waiting room I was in one of the lockers in the washroom when an immigration officer batched on me and requested I follow him to their interrogation room even though I wasn’t done with what I was doing in there.

I complied to his order and followed him like a bee who was chasing after a nectar of a plant, annoyingly as I got to their office they kept me there for quite some time without telling me the reason for that invitation, honestly baby I got mad at a point in time and started throwing threats into the air which am to believe caught the attention of their senior officer on duty, later he came to me to talk to me but some junior officers came in with sniffing dogs to sniff around me, later I saw a video on one of their screens displaying me before I entered the washroom, I think because I placed something in my pocket before entering the washroom they suspected maybe I was hiding something or whether I was a drug peddler or dealer hence bringing about the purpose for the invitation, later when they realised that I was clean they had to call the navigation room to hint them so they delay the flight a bit so I could join the others, that was why you saw me in the company of the immigration officers.
