FINAL CHAPTER
“Your possession of the Royal DayoSword has broken the spell of deceit the vile Leke Olugbade Bally cast over the land, my Lord,” Jhon Moziz said with a troubled scowl as he looked into the determined face of the young prince. “The Army now owes allegiance to you, and I see great unrest inside the palace. But, I see your darkest hour ahead. I just want you to know that no matter what happens, any decision you take should be selfless. The good of this Empire and the future of Earth depend on your decisions today, my Lord.”
“Let it be so,” Temi said grimly.
“Good,” Jhon Moziz said. “Now, let’s transport to the great forecourt of the great Dayo Palace, where I perceive a great gathering! Okakuo, son of Agbons, hold the hand of the prince as I summon a Transport Cloud!”
Okakuo took the prince’s hand.
“Warriors of the Great Dayo Empire!” Jhon Moziz shouted. “Your Heir Apparent needs you at the palace! Assemble now!”
“Hoohah, hoohah, hoohah!” the warriors responded, and then there was a sudden coordinated movement as they formed rows of neat lines, and began to match out of the Dayo Square.
Jhon Moziz raised his staff to the sky and made a circular motion with it, and instantly the three of them were covered by a round globe of cloud-like substance that lifted them high into the sky and then travelled with them at high speed toward the palace.
It was just like many months ago when Jhon Moziz had been transporting the spirit of Temidayo. The young prince looked down at the majestic sight of Dayo spread beneath him in the gathering light of dawn, and his young heart was filled with calm and happiness. This was indeed the most beautiful place to be.
Soon, he saw the huge, great, beautiful palace spread below him.

The cloud circled around the palace once, and then twice, and when it began to circle for the third time, Temidayo looked at Jhon Moziz with a puzzled expression.
“Why are you circling?” he asked coldly. “Why are we not going down so that I deal with these evil beings that usurped the rightful ways of my father?”
“Something is wrong, my Lord!” Jhon Moziz said softly. “Something is very wrong. I don’t feel the presence of Temitayo Anubi and Leke Olugbade Bally inside the palace, and neither do I feel the presence of your mother and sister!”
“And what does that mean, Grand Oracle?” Temi asked, his voice not sounding so confident anymore.
“I don’t know,” Jhon Moziz said. “I feel them around the great wall of the White Lands…but what are they doing there?”
“Then to the wall, we shall go, Grand Oracle!” Temidayo said furiously. “Fast, before they escape to the White Lands!”
“Only the Royal DayoSword can open the gate to the White Lands, my Lord,” Jhon Moziz said in a voice filled with uncertainty. “But why the White Lands? Leke Olugbade Bally needed the Royal DayoSword to open a portal that will send him to earth, to feed on the souls of humans and become stronger and immortal! The White Lands is an evil place, and his powers will be strong there! Is that why he wants to go there, or he sees something that I don’t?”
“He won’t escape as long as I draw breath!” Temi said in a soft, cruel voice. “We dally too long, my Grand Oracle! Take me to the gate of the White Lands now!”
“As you wish, my Lord,” Jhon Moziz said. “But that Leke Olugbade Bally is a fiend and a horrible, horrible evil being. Let’s tread with care!”
The Transport Cloud dipped, and now they were sailing over the great forest that bordered the palace. The huge white wall that shot from the ground into the skies came into view now through the hazy clouds of the emerging sun!
This was the impenetrable wall that separated the Empire of Dayo from the White Lands, the place of evil and the dead!
The Transport Cloud began to descend, and soon they moved through the thick trees and finally to the spot outside the wall where the red door that led to the belly of the White Lands was…
And the sight that met Temidayo’s eyes filled him with horror!
There were two groups of people gathered around the wall.
To one side was a huge metallic cage. Inside the cage were, and holding fearfully to the bars, were the Keepers! Ayaka Nsugbe’s face was pressed to the spaces, next to the ashen and scared face of Shemen Persis and Sage Ogu Samuel!
And they were not alone!
Inside the cage were Commander Prosper Freeman, Emmanuel Suncity and, horror of all horrors, Nneka Okez!
And with them were Queen Kelly Philip and her daughter, Princess Uvbi
Akenzua who were gazing at Temidayo with eyes bulging with shock.
“Temi!” the Queen whispered as tears instantly fell down her face, and she reached a hand through the bars of the cage. “Temidayo, my son!”
And, to one side of the cage was a silvery platform of sorts on which were standing Temitayo Anubi, Juliet Udeh Onyinye and the tall, foreboding and sinister body of Leke Olugbade Bally, shrouded in a long, white gown. The evil man’s arms were folded across his chest, and his white eyes fixed defiantly on Temidayo.
Temitayo Anubi pointed a finger at Prince Temidayo David Dayo.
“Ah, we meet at long last, cousin!” he whispered, trying to laugh, but his smile faltered at the glint of fury in Temi’s eyes. “Indeed, your resemblance to your useless father is a grand spectacle to behold!”
Temidayo’s young heart was beating with fury as he swirled the Royal DayoSword once in his hand, and its edges glittered and sizzled with sudden energy, causing Leke Olugbade Bally to drop his arms suddenly, and his white eyes changed briefly to purple once.
“He’s afraid, my Lord!” Jhon Moziz said to Temi softly. “But be aware of him!”
Temi pointed the sword at the cage.
“What’s the meaning of this atrocity, Commander Freeman?” he asked in an icy voice. “This was not part of the plan!”
“We were captured inside the Haven, my Lord!” Prosper Freeman said, his voice bitter and filled with self-loathing. “We were caught by surprise!”
“The Haven?” Temi said asked furiously. “It is supposed to be a secret place!”
“Not really, little cousin!” Temitayo said with a giggle and smiled evilly at Temidayo. “We’ve known of your existence for a long time! We were biding our time for the right moment, and when we heard you had finally arrived in Dayo, my Grand Oracle Leke Olugbade Bally was led by my trusted spies and servants to the so-called Haven to capture your people!”
“Your trusted spies?” Temidayo asked furiously.
Temitayo Anubi laughed and stepped to one side, revealing three people behind him…
There was Daniel Godwin, who was sitting on the floor with his hands tied behind him, and then there were Ziloux Adeyeye Escobar and the beautiful Rose Amaefule!
Temidayo’s face registered his horror as he looked at them.
“You?” he whispered painfully.

“It seems they have been traitors all the time, my Lord!” Prosper said. “They were there pretending to be Daniel’s friends and wanting him to be the leader. They had laid a trap already with Luciano Alexander! If our first plan had worked, and we had gone ahead with the Luciano Alexander plan, they would have led the warriors there to kill us!”
Temidayo’s eyes were still shocked as he glared at Rose Amaefule with deep horror.
“You will betray your own people, Rose?” Temidayo asked softly. “So, this is why you wanted me dead at the Falls, right? All along you wanted to kill me!”
“Temi!” Rose said as tears fell down her face. “Please, forgive me! I had no choice! Ziloux has been my brother all this while! He told me many years ago that if we delivered the son of King Demi, our father would be released from the White Lands where he’s been imprisoned by King Demi all these years!”
“Ah, now it makes sense to me!” Jhon Moziz screamed and pointed his rod at Rose. “You two are the children of the Warrior Dado Fule! Yes, he was imprisoned in the White Lands because he dabbled in evil!”
“That’s not true, you evil bastard!” Ziloux cried passionately with tears running down his face. “He was imprisoned because he refused to let King Demi put his filthy hands on our beautiful mother, a woman the King craved! And then King Demi, the father of Temidayo, killed our mother and imprisoned our father! He told me everything when I was allowed to see him a final time before he was imprisoned!”
“Stop your silly blaspheming!” Jhon Moziz screamed. “Is that what the traitor told you? The King had no use for your evil mother either! Your mother, Rosalinda of the Tortus, was an evil spiritual being, from the roots of the horrible Sirens! She wanted to rule over Dayo by making your father king!
They dabbled in the occults, and they managed to change the minds of some of the leaders to mutiny against the king! They planted assassins in the palace to kill the king, but I saved him, and killed your mother! I wanted to kill your father too, but King Demi didn’t want me! Instead, he had your father imprisoned behind the wall!”
“You lie!” Rose screamed furiously. “Oh, you lie! You took our beloved parents from us! You let our father languish in the White Lands! Admit it, you old devil!”
“I tell you the truth, you little piece of a siren descendant!” Jhon Moziz shouted.
Rose Amaefule looked at Temi’s accusing eyes which were filled with venom, and fear and doubt slowly entered her eyes. She turned to Temitayo Anubi and spoke in a trembling voice.
“Tell me all that this man said are lies, please,” she whispered.
“Oh, what does it matter?” Temitayo Anubi said with a laugh. “It is a true story, my dear. Yes, your mother tried to usurp the kingdom with her husband. Their plan was horrible, and it didn’t work..blah, blah, blah. Yes, it is the truth, but your father lied to your brother, your brother came to me, I sent the two of you to wreak vengeance inside the Haven, and here we are. Perfect plan!”
“No!” Rose cried in anguish as she suddenly dropped to her hand and knees with her head bowed as the enormity of her misplaced betrayal dawned on her. “What have I done? Oh, what have I done?”3
“Stop that this instant!” Ziloux screamed. “They don’t deserve your tears! Temi’s father imprisoned our father, and that murderous Grand Oracle killed our mother! Now we will get our revenge! Our father will be released finally from the White Lands!”
“And Daniel?” Temidayo asked painfully.
Daniel Godwin smiled at him.
“Oh, they tied me up and didn’t put me in the cage because, according to this piece of menstrual clot called Temitayo, my father wasn’t really King Demi at all, but Peter Igwe Pedro. So, in reality, I’m a brother to Temitayo and not your step-brother, Temi. You knew this, didn’t you?”
Temidayo sighed miserably.
“Who your father was or wasn’t isn’t of import, Daniel,” he said painfully with tears glittering in his eyes. “You’ll always be my big brother.”
Tears welled up in Daniel Godwin’s eyes immediately, and he nodded once.
“I love you, Temidayo,” he said. “And I’m glad to be your big brother!”
“Enough of the bickering!” Leke Olugbade Bally said his voice a great rumbling noise that shook the ground. “Open the door of the White Lands, you puny prince, and let me go back to my lands!”
Drops of fire emitted from his mouth as he spoke.
Temi pointed the Royal DayoSword at the vile demon and spoke with fury.
“You have usurped the rightful ways of this land long enough, demon,” he said wrathfully. “Today, you will perish!”
“You do not dare me!” Leke Olubgade Bally screamed and pointe a finger at the cage.
The cage suddenly lifted off the ground, and then suddenly the earth cracked and opened beneath the cage, forming a great abyss, and fire spurted from within immediately.
“You will open the door, or the cage falls into the fire, and the earth closes!” Leke Olugbade Bally screamed furiously.
Temi looked at the abyss beneath the cage, and the burning fire within, and his heart baulked with sudden fear as he looked at the people within.
“No!” he whispered with sudden horror.
“Be firm, my Lord!” Jhon Moziz cried desperately. “Dayo first, my Lord! Remember? Your decision matters! Dayo first!”
Temidayo was filled with confusion as he held the Royal DayoSword.
“Open the door or they perish!” Leke Olugbade Bally screamed furiously.
Daniel Godwin, who had been sitting on the floor quietly all the time but straining and cutting through the ropes binding his wrists with a fragment of a sharp-edged rock he had picked up on the floor a little at a time. Suddenly, his hands snapped free. With a great roar, he came off the floor and rushed at the Leke Olugbade Bally, knocking the evil man off the pedestal!
Leke roared furiously as he lost concentration and began to fall down, and the cage fell toward the boiling abyss with those in it screaming. Jhon Moziz pointed with his rod, and the cage was surrounded with a Transport Cloud immediately, and he tossed it to one side and away from the fire.
Leke Olugbade pointed a finger as he fell, and as the cage burst open Leke made a pulling gesture with his and, and Nneka Okez was sucked out of the cage, screaming as she toppled head over heels in the air toward Leke Bally.
Temidayo screamed and lunged at Leke Olugbade Bally with his Royal DayoSword raised.
Leke Bally screamed with sudden fear when he saw the sword raised, and in that instant the human flesh peeled off his face, revealing a snarling face of a monster with the huge skull-like head and a tongue forked like a snake’s, and eyes that boiled with flames!
But just then Nneka Okez fell into the hands of Leke Olubgade Bally, and he pressed his long, knife-like fingers to her throat and pressed fiercely, breaking the skin around her neck and drawing blood!
“Nek!” Temi screamed in anguish and stayed his hand.
“Kill him, Temi!” Jhon Moziz screamed. “Decisions, Dayo first! Kill him now to save Dayo!”
But Temidayo looked at the scared face of the woman he loved, and he could not endanger her life.
“It is okay, my love!” Nneka wept bitterly and painfully. “The Grand Oracle warned me, but I didn’t tell you. I think this is the moment. My life is not important, my love. Kill this vile animal!”
Tears came to Temi’s eyes.
“I can’t!” he whispered, trembling and weeping. “I can’t! Not you, and especially not my child you’re carrying!”
“Open the door and have her!” Leke Olubgade Bally screamed. “Or watch her die with your seed inside her!”
“Don’t listen to him!” Jhon Moziz screamed and aimed a bolt of sizzling energy at Leke Olugbade Bally.
The evil man flexed a hand, diverting the energy into the trees, and as it cut down several trees Leke Bally’s eyes lit up and sent balls of horrible white ash toward the Grand Oracle.
Jhon Moziz screamed with pain and thrashed around on the floor.
“Open the door now!” Leke Bally shouted.
“No!” Prosper Freeman screamed as he raced forward. “Kill him, Temi! Only the Royal DayoSword can kill him!”
Temitayo Anubi saw Prosper approaching, and suddenly he drew his sword when he saw his chance. He rushed at Temidayo, whose back was turned, and raised the sword to stab him.
“Noo!” Daniel Godwin screamed when he saw that Temitayo was almost on top of Temi.
Daniel rushed forward and knocked Temi away, and so the sword meant for Temi’s back sank into the heart of Daniel Godwin just as Leke Olugbade Bally also sent a shaft of energy shooting into Prosper Freeman, which lifted the Army Commander and slammed him back hard into the trees, knocking him unconscious!
“Open the door!” Leke Olugbade Bally screamed as he lifted Nneka up high, his nails digging deeper!
Temidayo was weeping now as he saw Daniel on the floor gasping his last breath as blood poured from his mouth.
“Daniel!” Temitayo screamed in anguish as he looked down at the dying Daniel Godwin. “You sacrificed your life for him? I’m your brother!”
“You’ll never be my brother, you bastard!” Daniel Godwin said. “Temidayo is the One. And he will avenge my blood on you!”

Temidayo saw Prosper in the far distance, lying prone as if he were dead, and he saw Jhon Moziz still rolling on the ground as he fought against the burning fiery blast from Leke Bally.
And, finally, Temi saw the look of agony on the face Nneka Okez, the woman he loved and could feel the anguish of his unborn son in her belly!
With a scream of anguish, Temidayo jammed the Royal DayoSword into the hole in the door of the White Lands and turned it three times in the counterclockwise direction!
And the moment the door creaked open, ghostly figures reached out blindly.
“This is for thwarting my plans, you puny prince!” Leke Olubgade Bally said viciously and aimed a bolt of deadly energy at Temidayo.
Lying on the ground, Jhon Moziz suddenly saw a most horrible thing!
Evil creatures had been lurking behind the great white wall!
And now horrible and fiendish evil monsters and demons were pouring out of the White Lands, snarling with fury and reaching out to kill the people lying around.
“Oh, no!” Jhon Moziz whispered with horror. “It is the Apocalypse! The destruction of Dayo and the Earth! No, no! This must stop!”
With a great effort, Jhon Moziz aimed a blast of energy at the evil blast coming toward the prince from Leke Bally.
Temi was standing still, too numbed by the horror around him, and he would have died if Jhon’s blast had not deflected the one from Leke Bally!
Jhon Moziz then enveloped himself in a shroud of Transport Cloud and soared high in the sky, and then he shot a ray of powerful blast toward the Dayo Square.
“Creator of All Things!” Jhon Moziz screamed. “The Apocalypse has started! I can’t let the people of Dayo die! Guard my aim, and bring down the last leaf on the Olive Branch!”
The blast from Jhon Moziz sailed through the air as the skies rumbled and turned a horrible red as if someone had poured blood across the surface of the sky!
Jhon Moziz’s strike hit the olive tree, which represented the spirit of the Dayo Empire!
The last leaf tore off, and when it landed, the ground shook fiercely in a horrible earthquake…and then it happened!
The sky rumbled furiously with thunder so horrible and continuous that it almost turned every ear that heard it deaf! Lightning crisscrossed blindly, and then it began to rain black sheets of rain.
“Damn you, Oracle!” Leke screamed fiercely as he threw Nneka away and raced furiously toward the open door of the White Lands. “Flee, brothers! The Stone Death approaches!”
Leke Olugbade Bally grabbed Temitayo Anubi, and they fled through the doorway of the White Lands!
The horrible creatures that had poured out also began to flee back, but some of them were too late!
The black rain touched them, and they were turned into stones immediately!
And all across the Empire of Dayo, everything that the black rain hit turned to stone: humans, buildings, objects, animals, insects!
But none of the people around Temidayo was turned to stone!
And then, thankfully, the rain stopped, and the entrance to the White Lands banged shut!
As the people around climbed to their feet one by one, as they gathered in confusion and horror, as Jhon Moziz descended slowly back to the ground, as Prosper Freeman climbed back to his feet and raced toward the center, as Rose Amaefule and Ziloux watched with horrified eyes, as the gaping hole in the ground which Leke Olugbade Bally had opened up closed slowly, all eyes were fixed on the pathetic figure of Prince Temidayo David as he sat on the ground cradling the lifeless body of Nneka Okez and the huge bulk of Daniel Godwin in his arms.
“You sacrificed your life for mine!” Temidayo wept bitterly.

“You’re strong, my brother!” Daniel Godwin said weakly as blood poured from his lips. “Don’t let this calamity make you weak. Be strengthened by it, and save Dayo from this savagery, little brother. Don’t let my death be in vain.”
“Stay with me,” Temidayo wept bitterly as he held Daniel and his love, his body shaking and so shattered that phlegm and mucous poured out of his lips and nostrils. “Nek! Dan! Please don’t leave me! Please stay with me! Oh, please, please, give me another chance to redeem! I beg of you, please!”
At that moment he was nothing more than a teenager thrust in the face of the heaviest calamity any soul could be faced with.
His mother and sister knelt beside him and touched his shoulder on each side.
“I love you, Temi,” Daniel Godwin whispered, and he was gone!
And Temi bellowed with a shattered soul, so great was his anguish that his gentle heart could not contain it as he sat on the floor with two dead bodies in his arms.
God loved us so much that He sent His son as a propitiatory sacrifice for our sins. – 1 John 4:10
Remembering Christ”s death renew our love for Jehovah.
It reminds us of the greatest sacrifice God made for mankind to be saved.
May we take advantage of the ransom sacrifice and work towards our salvation.
