CHAPTER 28
Prince Temi, eyes filled with burning embers, looked coldly at the pathetic pleading form of the evil entity in front of him, and slowly he lowered the Royal DayoSword.
“You have been most vile,” he said softly. “But, indeed, if you’re of changed heart, and promise to keep away from Dayo, and Earth, and to sojourn only here in The Ashes, I am a reasonable man who believes in second chances, and I will pardon you!”
“Hey, fuck it, little bro!” the spirit of Daniel Godwin shouted as he landed beside Temi and looked at him with worried eyes. “What are you doing, my brother? That thing is Leke Olugbade Bally! He has no regret in him, no remorse, no heart! He’s just playing on your soft side, bro! He is the purpose of The Purge, the head of the fucking snake, man! Kill him now! Plunder him! No mercy for this piece of shit, man!”
Temi looked at Danny, and the fire in Temi’s eyes was gone, and now only his normal eyes showed.
“To see a wicked soul like him begging for his life is unexpected and pathetic, and also calls for my heart to be merciful. A pardon from me for a beast like him is divine!” he said with a little smile. “Do you promise, Leke Bally?”
The wounded and burnt Leke Olugbade Bally nodded, his face filled with terror.
“I promise, my Lord, I promise!” Leke Olugbade Bally groaned plaintively.
The spirit of King Demi landed beside Temi, and his face was extremely concerned as he glared at his son.
“Are you sure about this, son?” King Demi asked with concern. “The Purge will never be complete if this vile element breathes!”
“He is pardoned, Pops,” Temi said and turned away from Leke Bally. “It is done! Walk with me, please, both of you!”
With King Demi floating on his right side and Daniel Godwin on his left, both of them still trying to talk Temi out of his decision, they moved away from the fatally wounded Leke Bally.
And then a wicked look of pure evil entered the single eye of Leke Olugbade Bally as with sudden blinding speed his wounds healed rapidly, and in the blink of an eye he suddenly had four new arms and legs, and his three eyes were restored.
He bounded to his feet as all his four arms changed into fiercely serrated edges. The demon bounded forward with yell of triumph, and before Temi could turn Leke Olugbade Bally smashed his knife-hands into the back of the Prince!
One hand went through Temi’s neck completely!
Another skewered Temi’s heart, shattering it and appearing in front of him!
The third went through Temi’s spine, breaking it up completely!
All the past spirits of the kings, Danny Godwin and Igwe screamed with great horror and pain as Temi, horribly impaled, was raised up by the demonic evil Leke Bally and then tossed down like a rag on the ground, his heart and every vital organ in his body shattered!
As Temi lay dying on the ground, Leke Bally dropped to his knees and looked at him with evil triumph as he raised one of his hands and drove it into Temi’s head, scattering the head.
Rose screeched with horror and indescribable pain as she rushed blindly at the invisible barrier, was thrown back fiercely!
All the spirits wailed in agony as Temi’s shattered and dead body lay on the ground of The Ashes!
“Puny, stupid Dayan Prince!” Leke Olugbade Bally bellowed fiercely. “No one defeats Leke Bally! Now, you will all know real terror! Your catalyst is dead! I will lay Dayo to waste, you hear me? Creator, you hear me? And I will devour every single earthling on earth, and then I will come for you, Creator! There is nothing any of you can do about it!”
And as a dazed Rose got to her feet, weeping inconsolably, her heart absolutely shattered, and as the spirits looked with consternation at the mutilated body of Temidayo lying on the floor, and as King Demi knelt beside the body of his son, his face shattered with unbelievable grief, something strange happened!
The bloodied, gouged and mutilated body of Prince Temidayo lying on the ground began to shimmer and blink, becoming less and less solid, appearing to be some translucent object.
“Oh, goodness me, goodness, dearest, dearest me!” King Demi screamed with sudden delight and looked at the cold face of Leke Olugbade Bally. “It is an illusion! Temi used the power of the Royal DayoSword to create an illusion, a mirage of himself!”
“A reflection!” Jhon The Moziz said softly, wondrously, amazed and suddenly filled with happiness. “The Catalyst used the reflection as the Oracles stated!”
Peter Igwe heard what Jhon The Moziz said, and he suddenly screamed with sudden wonder and awe and then began to laugh gleefully.
“And after the reflection the end of the evil one dawneth! That is what the Oracles say! I never understood that one! Temi just created a reflection of himself and his real body became invisible!” Pedro screamed, and Jhon The Moziz nodded triumphantly as he raised his staff to the sky and began to jump with glee.
“What are you fools talking about?” a heartbroken Daniel Godwin shouted as he glared at King Demi. “You mean Temi is not dead? What, this fucking, cunt-scented, shitpiece shithead Leke killed is not my brother?”
“No!” King Oliseh said, also joining in the laughter. “The Oracles states that the Catalyst will use a reflection of himself to end the Purge! We never understood it! Somehow, Temi has discovered full usage of the Royal DayoSword, and he used it to deceive Leke! The real Temi simply made himself invisible using the power of the Royal DayoSword!”
“No, no, no, no!!” Leke Olugbade Bally whispered with panic now as Temi’s dead body shivered and shone brightly, and then faded completely!
“Show yourself son, goddamn it!” King Demi screamed. “You bloody showoff! Show yourself and put me out of my damn agony or I swear I’ll disown you this instant you fool of a son!”
And then…he appeared!
Prince Temidayo David Dayo of the Dayo Empire!
He slowly became visible just in front of the stunned Leke Olugbade Bally, and this was a different Temi altogether!
Now, not only his eyes burned with fire but his whole body was burning with a wonderful blaze of fire! From his head to his soles, Temi was holding the Royal DayoSword, and he was covered with burning fire!
He was not human!
He had become a demon himself!
“Judgement is passed on you, Leke Olugbade Bally!” the burning Temidayo said, and took a step toward the cowering vile demonic entity!
With a growl of bravado Leke Olugbade Bally stepped forward with his knife-hands swinging, but Temi’s right hand shot out, and he grabbed the demon by the neck, and pulled him forward!
Leke Olugbade Bally screamed with pitiful anguish as Temi bellowed fire into his face, and then the burning Royal DayoSword moved in Temi’s left hand, mercilessly slashing and cutting into the body of the beast!
Leke Bally screamed with agony as each slice cut off a part of his body, as each swipe seared his soul with agonizing and unbearable pain!
But the burning Temi had no mercies left in his heart!
He slashed!
He sliced!
And he became an epitome of sheer wickedness, delivering the ultimate punishment as he delayed the execution of the beast, cutting of parts of the demon until all that remained of Leke Olugbade Bally was his head to his chest!
And as he stared into the burning face of Temi, of this great prince of Dayo, he knew terror, and he wished above all else, that he had never crossed the legend of this Dayan!
Temi dropped the mutilated body of the beast on the ground then, and looked down at him with great fury.
“I’ll give you the same mercy you showed my father, and my grandma!” Temi hissed furiously.
Temi suddenly shot into the air, turning once, twice thrice….and then he bellowed and came swinging back to earth with a yell in his throat, a fearsome, burning edifice that was both wonderful and terrible to behold!
Leke Olugbade Bally screamed with a mixture of terror and the anticipation of pain when he saw Temi falling toward his chest, and there was nothing the evil being could do to protect himself!
Temi smashed into the chest of the beast, as the sword dug into the hard chest of the monster and smashed into his heart with the force of Temi’s weight and his gravitational drop downward.
Leke Olugbade Bally screamed with sheer pain as he felt his heart shattering, and then he burst into flames immediately.
Temi withdrew the sword and stepped back, and as he moved away from the burning screaming heap of Leke Bally, the fire around the prince began to die off swiftly from his head, down to his neck, chest, body and finally his head.
And there he stood, the Dayan prince, no longer burning, but tall and handsome and absolutely fearsome.
And then an amazing thing happened!
As the demon burned, a lot of ghostly figures emerged from him and ascended rapidly toward the sky.
“Spirits of poor innocent lives this demon killed just to stay living forever,” Jhon The Moziz said as he came to stand beside Temi. “Well done, my Lord. You have done well. Incredibly well.”
“You were always going to be the best, my son,” King Demi said proudly as he settled down beside Temi!
“Yeah, the fucking bastard!” Daniel said, settling down behind Temi and trying to buzz him on the back of his head, causing Temi to smile suddenly.
One by one the spirits of the kings settled down around Temi, and they watched Leke Olugbade Bally burn, and the souls of the happy and relieved human beings ascending rapidly toward the sky.
[wp_ad_camp_1]“Fucking bastard!” King Temitayo Oliseh whispered grimly as he watched Leke burning.
And then, after what seemed an eternity, the souls stopped leaving the burning body of the monster, and then the creepy shadow of the tall Leke Olugbade Bally shot out and slammed into the sword in Temi’s hand!
It stopped raining.
The thunder and lightning stopped.
The earth tremors stopped, and the red sky cleared, leaving it clear and white.
The eyes of Temi changed back to normal, and so did the eyes of the spirits.
“The Purge is over, finally,” Jhon The Moziz said with a serene look on his face. “Finally, after centuries, this day has come!”
“Yes, The Purge is completed!” King Demi said passionately.
“Prophecies fulfilled!” King Oliseh said. “Led by the youngest and the greatest, King David. All hail the King!”
“Hail!” they screamed and swarmed around Temi.
Rose, watching, wiped the tears from her face and looked at Temi with great love and longing on her face. She was shocked she was still alive! What she had witnessed, the agonies she had lived through that short period of time which had seemed, to her, like a hundred years, could have killed any heart.
Temi turned his head slowly, and his eyes met those of Rose.
Deliberately, he sheathed his sword and began walking toward her.
When Rose saw all the spirits looking at her, she became conscious suddenly of the fact that she was still naked!
She gasped and put one hand across her beautiful breasts, and the other across her loins, and then she turned and began to run toward her clothes lying so far away. Once her back was turned she put her hands across her buttocks, and all the watching spirits broke into laughter.
“You should all be ashamed of yourselves!” Temi said, pointing a finger at them. “Dirty old men!”
The spirits laughed uproariously.
“Damn, I wanted that thing fiercely but she kept it from me, damn her!” Daniel Godwin groaned, causing Temi to laugh gently.
“But you had others, didn’t you, son?” Peter Igwe asked.
“Oh, yeah, Pops, I surely did!” Daniel said with a lecherous grin. “That’s the only thing I miss, damn!”
“Otu will kill you again!” Temi whispered.
“Think of yourself, Otu Prince!” Danny retorted.
And once again great laughter boomed out.
It was, indeed, a very fine day at The Ashes!
