Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.
Proverbs 21:5 (NLT)
Sober Reflections
Punctuality is being on time. We always appreciate it when planes, trains, and buses are punctual because we do not have to waste our time waiting for them. We also appreciate it when other people are punctual for meetings and appointments.
Punctuality is a form of trustworthiness that can help build a good relationship. It is a character trait that tells other people how dependable we are.
Punctuality is a way of showing respect for other people and their time. It also indicates to people that they are worth planning ahead for.
We communicate value to others when we are where we said we would be at the appointed time.
Diligent people are usually punctual because wise time management is required to accomplish their goals.
While we may be late occasionally, punctual people are bothered by their own tardiness and do not let it become a habit.
Sisters, the habit of being punctual can be cultivated by first bearing in mind that it is a sign of respect to the person or people you are meeting with. Then plan well ahead to meet the appointed time for everything. This is a good habit to teach our children and future generations.
Prayer
Thank You Father God for drawing our attention to the need to prepare ahead of time in order to be punctual at all times.
Holy Spirit, please help me to kill the spirit of laziness and plan well that I shall be punctual at all times to the glory of God in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
