He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the Word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the Word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Sober Reflections
Another thing that hinders us from our eternal inheritance is the cares of this world.

The cares of this world include one’s dreams, aspirations, traditions, attitudes and relationships. The world’s system is organized and regulated upon false principles and values in the light of the Word of God.
So when one craves for the things of the world, or the lack of them makes him irritated, it means his heart is still for the world and not God. 1 John 2:15-16

In this vain, Jesus tells us not to worry about our lives: what to eat, drink or wear. For the thought of these can cause us to derail from God’s agenda of fruit-bearing to sin.
Jesus encourages us to trust God for everything we need. Matt 6:25-31

▪︎In 1 Kings 17:6, God sent ravens to feed His servant and gave him water from a brook.
▪︎In 1 Kings 17:12, God sent help to a widow and her son who had nothing to live on because of the famine on the land.
▪︎God commands His Angels to guard those who trust in Him. Psalm 91:11

Sisters, God values us more than anything in the world. That is why He gave us Jesus, that we might be saved from the world.
If God gave us Jesus, then He would give us whatever we need. Rom 8:32

Prayer
Thank You Father God for saving me from the deceitfulness of the world. Thank You for providing all my needs.

Holy Spirit, please open my eyes so that I may see the true nature of the world and what it represents, that I give my whole heart and all to God in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen!
