A Father
The word Father can be used as a noun and or a verb.
Father, as a noun, is used to relate to a child or children.
For example, Anabel’s father is a Mechanical Engineer.
Also, father can be used as a title or form of address for a priest.
Again, the word Father is used in the Bible to refer to a spiritual ancestor who has instilled his own spirit into another.
As a verb, we use the word father to describe someone who caused the birth of a child.
Matthew fathered three children.
A father is loving, endearing, strong, kind, caring, intuitive, selfless, brave, persevering, sweet, hospitable, energetic, protective, inspiring, thoughtful, dependable, dedicated, supportive, wise, a good listener, etc.
As we celebrate Fathers today, take the time to reflect on all the things your Father did or is doing for you, and all the rich blessings he’s brought to your life.
Then, reflect on all the sacrifices he made to ensure you are happy and feel protected from harmful or dangerous things or circumstances.
For those of you whose fathers are no longer with us, I know today has come with mixed feelings as you fight the yearning to see his smile, hear his deep soothing voice and enjoy the unique company only he could give. Regardless, let the world know what an amazing Dad you had by continuing to advance his virtues and living to make him proud in all things.
For those of you whose fathers are still here with us, take a moment to call, visit, take him out or send him a heartwarming write-up.
Whatever you do today, make sure the day does not end without saying “I Love You, Dad!”
