UNTIL YOU
EPISODE 15
Three days had passed and Nii had not ventured near Naa.
He had neither picked nor returned her calls. That behaviour nailed it for Naa. The game had been played and now it was full time. She was a free woman and no one would convince her otherwise.
The cracks in their relationship had finally yielded and there was nothing to salvage from the wreckage. And, surprisingly, after the first day of intense pains, she slowly felt a calm saturating her heart.
She had caught him face-down in vulvic prayer and had accepted him back within the day. And yet, on the evidence of what he had seen and deduced, from the fragmented feelings of hurt ego, he chose to ignore her completely.
That was a perspective, and the organic fertilizer that made the iron bars finally soar, and made the thin ice solidify into unbreakable ice.
And that was the condition that ushered in the academic revision week which somewhat slowed things down a bit from their frenetic high.
On the third night after the storm, Naa was seated on the three-seater Canopy Bench Seat on the roof of their residence and was looking at the beautiful starry skies. The moon was not too bright but a warm glow that gave the night a romantic touch.
She had been disappointed Nii had walked away just like that and human as she was, that saddened her heart. She had always loved him, that she knew and watching a relationship of four years go down the drain was something that was not pleasant at all but she knew she would survive it.
The shattering confirmation that whatever Nii felt for her was skin deep tore at her heart. She was aware it would be difficult for her to love again and thankfully, her metal bars, though shaken a little bit when she saw Nii’s pain because of the love she felt for him, had just been reinforced.
Sometimes, letting go, although knowing that was the best option, did not take away the pain and sadness that came with it.
She had a glass of wine in her hand and took a sip now and then as she brooded on the fatal course their relationship had taken.
She had checked her bank account records and realized she had spent a little above her quarter threshold and if she needed to spend any more, she would need her Dad’s approval and justification for same.
Given the recent circumstance, she did not want to go back to Nii to ask for the help he promised regarding the Celine issue she discussed with him.
So, she had called her Dad and talked for hours. They had talked almost about everything and when she told him what she wanted to do for Celine, her father supported her totally but she insisted it should be charged against her allowance for ensuing months.
The rest of the family joined in and they enjoyed talking and exchanging pleasantries. Her brothers had jointly picked an award from school and her parents, especially their mother, were over the moon with joy.
Naa shared in the joy and congratulated them and promised to get them a present when they got back.
Her mom had reminded her to send the list of items she would want them to get for her from the states.
When they had finally hung up, Naa felt empty and lonely so she had decided on a solo party at the rooftop.
She activated the no sound mode on her phone and carried her party items to the roof.
As she swung gently that night, a lot of things went through her head. She was just realizing she had not really decided what she wanted to do with her life.
Granted, she was in the university reading chemical engineering but that was geared towards running her father’s business since her brothers had no intention of staying in Ghana to run them.
She was more excited about helping people, engaging in humanitarian exploits and gradually she was feeling out of place in her chosen career path.
Swiftly, she gulped down the rest of the wine in the glass and picked her phone and that was when she saw there were several unanswered calls from Allan.
Without a second thought she returned his call and he answered immediately.
“Ah, the sleeping beauty finally awakes,” he slurred charmingly.
Naa giggled.
“To see her prince charming who had just brought her back to life with a single kiss,” she replied.
“Girl, I’ve missed you, what are you doing?”
“Watching the skies and enjoying a bottle of wine. You care to join me?”
“Actually, I was in your neighbourhood and wanted to know if you were free to hang out,” he said, his voice picking up a notch as his excitement engulfed him.
“I’m free like the air on the dessert, come to me, my prince,” she said with a giggle.
“I’m at your gate, my Snow White but your guards think I’m an intruder.”
Naa called the security to bring him up and minutes later, Allan strode in dressed in black jeans and a white T-Shirt, and his usual cologne perfumed the air as he drew closer.
Naa was standing with her back to the entrance when Allan walked up and did not bother to turn.
Allan could not help but marvel at the sheer beauty of her body. She was wearing black mini shorts with a sleeveless hugging top and all the curves and slopes of her shapely figure were outlined in perfect symmetry.
When she heard his footsteps close up, she turned with a beautiful smile on her face and threw her arms around him, hugging him so tightly that Allan had to struggle to breathe evenly for a minute or so.
“I miss you too,” he said with a smile when they separated.
Allan was impressed by the design of the roof. It was a simple landscape with grass carpet from wall to wall. The swing was at one end and a couple of relaxing chairs were arranged in a circle with spaces in between every half-circle to enable free movements.
There were huge flower vases at vantage points and beautiful framed paintings in the four corners of the roof.
There was soft music playing in the background even though Allan found it hard to locate where the music was coming from. It was as if they were coming from the walls.
Close to the swing was a long table which had two bottles of red wine, an ice bucket, and a tumbler.
“I can see someone is celebrating,” he remarked.
“Yea, I sure am,” Naa answered as she sat down on the swing. She poured herself another glass and uncorked one of the wine bottles for Allan.
He took it with a smile and raised it.
“What are we celebrating, my Snow White?”
“Freedom and new beginnings,” Naa answered, and for a brief moment her voice was tinged with sadness.
“To freedom and new beginnings,” Allan repeated as he raised the bottle and then took a long pull from the bottle.
He sat beside her as they drank in silence.
Naa tripped when she got down to pour herself another drink and Allan caught her half-way. He steadied her and their eyes met with their noses close to touching.
Allan lowered his head down and claimed her lips with his, savouring it at first and rolling his tongue inside hers as they shared a deep fiery kiss with the alcohol as their booster.
They both closed their eyes as the pleasure swept through them and before long Allan’s left hand was caressing her nipples as the right hand pulled her closer.
Naa returned a kiss with a kiss, a touch with a touch and a caress with a caress as the adrenalin from the pleasurable stimulation of their hands and tongue continued.

Nii stepped into his bath peevishly.
It had been the longest three days of his life.
He had tried to bring himself to Naa’s apartment but the sight of her in another man’s arms kept holding him back.
It was true he had taken her for granted. He had taken it that she would always be his no matter what and that she was incapable of hurting him ever.
If she had known he was coming over and allowed that incident to happen, he would have taken it as one of her tantrums. But they had shared the night together. They had had a wonderful time in fact and yet she had decided to keep her appointment with that fool a secret from him!
Why should she do something like that to him?
And when she had seen him, and seen how affected he was, she had still stayed in the fool’s arms, ignoring him completely.
That had been painful and unbearable!
When tears started forming in his eyes, he threw water on his face, took his sponge and started sponging himself.
It had been one of those days that threatened never to end. He had woken early and was at the doctor’s before he even reported for work. He needed answers to what had happened to him with Adoley.
The doctor had assured him there was nothing physically wrong with him and that his distressed emotional state might have caused that.
Nii had believed him because that dawn, when he got up to use the washroom, his member was standing proud as usual.
He had then gone to the library to complete a research he was working on and then he had later gone to his father’s mistress who had two children for his father. The boy wouldn’t go to the barber if Nii didn’t take him, and so he obliged once again that day, acutely appreciative of the hours of being with them and not brooding over Naa.
He was physically tired and emotionally drained by the time he got home. What got to him most was the fact that he had to keep his time with his siblings from another mother and her father’s mistress a secret.
He drained the bath of the soapy water and filled it with fresh lukewarm water. He placed his hands behind his head and allowed the lukewarm water to massage his body but his heart was still in a turmoil.
Nii got out of the bath and dried himself leisurely, then he padded naked to his bedroom.
He had an uninvited visitor.
“Hello, handsome,” she said with a demure smile on his face.
“What are you doing with my phone?” he replied as he snatched his phone from her. “You have no business going through my things!”
Korkor, stripped to only her G-string panties, got off the bed and came to stand in front of him.
“Cool it, my lion. I was just bored waiting for you. Now, tell me you haven’t missed me,” she said as she rubbed her breasts across his bare hairy chest.
His turgid member raised its head a little with the brush-up and before he could say anything more, Korkor’s lips clamped his in a fervent and sensual kiss whiles her left hand took him fully and the rush of blood was almost physical and unrestrainable.
He allowed the pleasure from her expert touches to wash over him and put out the fire that had burned in his heart for days.
