How do you tell if a guy is romantic?

To me, it depends on my preference of things I expect from a guy.

His attitude towards you, others, and life in itself also count a lot.

For instance, how does he celebrate you?.

Does he remember things that are important to you?

When you have a challenge, how does he help u through it?

Does he make time, no matter what, to spend quality time with you?

Does he make you feel like you belong?

Etcetera

Some ladies also put premium on how a guy looks. Here I’m not talking about his physical features but his grooming and how he carries himself around.

The way he speaks to you and others, his composure, and how he shows he cares also matters in classifying a guy as romantic.

How can our men learn to be romantic?

First, know your woman’s qualities. Know the things about her that make her different from other women and you let her know that you love those things about her.

Secondly, look for the physical qualities you love and let her know by touching them…

Like some Jacob I know who loves touching his wife’s buttocksky. I hear he doesn’t sleep well when he doesn’t feel the buttocksky around him at bedtime.

Then, tell her and show her you love her daily. The word here is DAILY. It may not necessarily be possible to show her your love every day but the catch is it should be frequent. It shouldn’t be a once in a blue moon thing. Don’t wait until it’s her birthday, graduation, or some anniversary of sorts to show her you care. Don’t get me wrong, most women love surprises so you can do something extraordinary if you can afford it on those occasions.

The thing is, all women are not the same. What one lady values may mean nothing to another.

General things you can do to show love include…

Kiss her every time you see her.

For the married, you can make it a point to kiss her when you wake up, just before you go to bed at night or when you get home from work.

Kissing has uncountable benefits in every relationship. But remember it has to come naturally. Forcing a kiss on a lady is uncool under most circumstances.

The unmarried should tread cautiously with the deep kisses since they can stir up emotions they are not ready to handle especially those who want to make love only in marriage.

Hold her hands

Holding her hands or waist when you take a walk down the road is another way of showing you love her. Keep in mind though, not every lady likes that particular gesture. The key here is to know your woman.

Complement her.

These have to be genuine compliments, not the ones most guys utter to get something from a lady.

Buy her a gift every now and then.

This shouldn’t be anything expensive. Some like chocolates, flowers, airtime, gum, shoes, bags, jewellery, etc.

Take her out or watch a movie together

A date night or day depending on your circumstances can be another way to show you care and love someone. It doesn’t necessarily mean going to a fancy place. The catch here is to show that you love spending time alone with them.

Give her space to spend time with her friends.

Yes, you read right. Give her space to be with friends and family. That shows you respect the things that are important to her.

Try not to criticize her in public.

Even when she does something you don’t approve of, find a nice way of letting her know. Don’t put her down. It will wipe off all your good attributes.

Help her with house chores.

This is really important in Africa and most developing countries where the house chores are considered a woman’s thing.

Helping out gives you a plus and it will go a long way to get your woman to appreciate you more. Here again, it should not be a nine-day wonder, do it routinely.
