LAWRENCE AKUTEY is a known journalist and producer. He’s in his late thirties. He’s handsome and tall. He owns the popularly known nationwide television “KYLE TV”.

Every month, he holds an interview with popular stars in the nation who share their story and the difficulties they go through yet come out successfully.

Today, he interviews JAMES NORTEY on the Life Series Program on KYLE TV.

This Program has been one of the life-changing stories out there on the streets.

Many youths are making it because of the experiences these stars and celebrities share.

JAMES NORTEY is one of the nation’s wealthiest men. He is a nice young gentleman married with two kids. He is dark in complexion, not so tall but he is a very handsome man. Characteristically, he always wears a smile on his face and that makes him one in a million.

The stage is set and the cameras are rolling. Every member of the production team is doing his or her job to make the program a success. The room is filled to capacity. The people are waiting eagerly for the day’s program.

The cameras roll in and it settles on MR. LAWRENCE AKUTEY. He is dressed in a nice blue-black suit with a black shoe to match. He looks nice in the costume.

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to LIFE SERIES PROGRAM. Today is a great day and a great day is today. In our midst is one of the wealthiest men this country has ever known. A man who under all circumstances could have ended his life but chose to fight. He’s an inspiration to you, myself and everyone. Now! Give it up for MR. JAMES NORTEY!!

There is a loud cheer and applause from the crowd as JAMES NORTEY climbs the podium from the first seat where he sat with his family.

The two men shake hands and hug as longtime friends.

The applause continues until he takes his seat! And gradually the applause and cheers go down.

Indeed JAMES NORTEY is a handsome young man. He is in a nice African print and it fits him so well.

You know, it’s an honour to have you here James. Even with your tight schedule, you made time for us. We are more than happy to have you.

Okay so James, look into the camera and tell us about yourself, your family, job and everything.

JAMES NORTEY
(Sighs)
Nortey James is my name. Named after my grandpa. I’m from Takoradi but currently lives in Accra with my family. I’m a married man. My wife, Victoria Akutey, is also here with my two kids; David and Grace. I’m a businessman and I deal in building materials and many other materials. Well! I’m the owner of J&D Companies and many others. There are a whole lot more but I think this will do for now.

JAMES NORTEY
(Laughs)
Haha haha! It’s God sir. After everything I’ve been through in life, it’s God who deserves the credit.

There is applause everywhere. Everyone is clapping. Even those sitting behind their tv in their various homes are giving it to this man.

Slowly the applause dies out!

LAWRENCE AKUTEY
After I heard your story, Jay, I was surprised and sad. Surprised because of the hardships you had to go through at the age you were that period. Only God knows the strength he gave you to endure such hardships. According to your story, your parents were murdered. How did it happen? Where were you at that time? Some even claim you murdered them. Clear the doubts, Jay!

There is silence in the room. Perhaps everyone wants to hear the story in details. Or they are shocked by what they have just heard.

For a minute, James Nortey can’t speak. And it’s obvious it’ll be difficult to reveal what happened that day to the world!
