THE SECOND SIGHT 3
The Duke had never been afraid of any Unblind.
He had found out that even the best of them, no matter how powerful, always had cobwebs in their minds, deep-rooted doubts that needed to be brought to the fore, and that usually served as their undoing.
That was why he had been so furious and so devastated to some extent when he heard that a novice Unblind had dissected, decimated and destroyed the horde of vindictive and powerful demons called The Legion. The Duke had used that weapon many times in the past to bring down Unblinds, and their destruction had filled him with ire.
He would have chased down Yaw Boat immediately and plundered him, but he had been on the hunt for the last holy relic and had put the destruction of Yaw Boat on hold for a moment. However, he had made the word go around that he wanted the Unblind, and no principality of the dark should ever approach Yaw Boat alone without the Duke’s notice.
But Tim had dared, and failed.
And Duke Swallows could not wait after that. He wanted to destroy Yaw Boat in the most slow and painful destruction ever, and so had sought to render the young man vulnerable at first by putting the harlot on him.
Every inch of the plan had been perfect until now…
This boy, this novice, indeed, was a complication!
Now the Duke understood why the Legion had failed, why Tim had failed and why many other forces of the dark had failed against this particular Unblind!
But that had to stop!
His plans were almost complete now. After his ancestors had fought for the Holy Relics for more than five hundred years, this was the time to reign supreme, the time to waste and plunder these Unblinds forever!
He could not allow this puny boy to ruin that great commission!
With his hands bent like claws he squeezed harder, trying to shatter Boat’s skull, but then – horror of horrors – Yaw Boat took a step toward him, his face filled with a fury and damnation so strong that Duke Swallows felt a pang of panic for the very first time in his existence!
There was only one thing left to do now: he had to enter the boy’s subconscious and find out that little portion of vulnerability he could use to destroy him. He became invisible and flew at Yaw Boat, smashed into him and sailed right into the boy’s body. Desperately, he rummaged around the boy’s mind, tracing strands of memory…
…Elaine, Nicole…Pops Joe, love, Opanyin Amoah, Pastor Anderson, sex, sex, debauchery, Elaine pregnant…the spawn, spawn, destroy her, destroy Elaine…she’s pregnant…you let her go, Amoah screaming…the spawn will come back and bite, she’s with child, my child, the legion, screaming, pardon me, Nicole, can’t hurt Nicole, Ledi Pedi, Ato Sey, sex, craving, lusting, lusting, lust, sex crave, Esi, alcohol, no, no more sin, the spawn, spawn, Elaine…
“And if I be a child of God, and if my body indeed is said to be the temple of God, then how can evil entities take stock of the temple of God?” Yaw Boat whispered as he felt the evil inside his body, and although his voice was soft, it sounded like a million, thundering bolts inside his body, making Duke Swallows scream with sudden agony.
“In Jesus’ name, get the fuck outta my bloody body!” Boat finished his prayer, and Duke Swallows was ripped out of his body and slammed heavily on the floor of the forest where he lay dazed and, for the very first time, afraid.
Boat took a steps toward him.
The mark of the beast on Duke’s forehead now flittered violently, changing into hues of rainbow.
“Raga shamtil zamalit talock…shiiiidalt!” Duke Swallows screamed in the tongues of the ancient arts, giving a command that was filled with evil. “Detakan tamila pintanquil.shiiiidalt!”
The command made the crows caw with violent, and their eyes changed to fierce white glares, and then they came sailing toward Yaw Boat with venom!
The branches of the trees shrieked and slapped at Yaw Boat!
Creepy ropes lashed out like arrows against him! The ground shook horribly and cracked up at several places, and then they began to emerge from the ground…
Horrible, rotting, snarling creatures!
These were the undead, men and women and children who had been buried inside the forest from many years ago!
A boy with only a skull as head and hands that were rotten sailed up Yaw Boat’s body and clamped horrible teeth on his nape! Ghostly evil figures swirled around him. Men with rotten, horrible faces and huge fangs came out of the ground and moved toward him with hands stretched out like claws!
Horrible, snake-like monsters dropped from the trees and fell down on him, sinking venomous fangs on his body! A crude coffin shot from the ground, burst open, and about ten children with rotting, stinking skin came out with vicious screams and came running towards him as blood drooled from their mouths and noses!
The roots of the trees wound around his ankles and held him still as the horrors began to unfold.
Duke Swallows struggled painfully to his feet when he saw the Unblind swamped, and he opened his arms wide and began to utter another command.
But then, he heard Yaw Boat’s calm voice within all the evil forces drenching him.
“Through the valley of the shadow of death do I walk, what evil then should I fear when the rod and the staff of the Great I Am that I Am paves the way for me? Burn, motherfuckers!”
And the explosion came!
It was like white fire that shot off from Boat’s body, its intensity so horrible to behold that Duke Swallows screamed and was hurled back violently to smash with horrific violence into a tree.
And when he moaned and looked up groggily, he saw that the forest had virtually been burned away from the radius of Yaw Boat’s body by the divine explosion, and now they were standing on bare ground with the Unblind looming above him.
And the look on Yaw Boat’s face made him look demonic!
The Duke now knew the meaning of terror!
He scrambled to his feet and tottered back quickly. He raised his right hand to the dark skies.
“Tamil limat Esi matadet akila tulsimat…shiiiidalt!” he commanded desperately.
“Death Cloud…to me!” Boat whispered fiercely.
Duke Swallows groaned with horror when he saw the hissing ball of ominous entity that rose up behind Yaw Boat immediately. He saw the millions of white, devilish eyes inside the cloud fixed on him, and his body trembled uncontrollably.
And when Boat raised his right hand the Duke screamed suddenly.
“Wait, Unblind, look up!”
Yaw Boat raised bleak eyes to the dark sky, and he saw Esi suspended up there suddenly, held in place by the Duke’s raised hand. She was struggling desperately with her hands on her throat as if gasping for breath.
“Let me go, Unblind!” Duke Swallows hissed dangerously, and Boat saw that his tongue was thick and forked, and his eyes were bright and demonic now. “I’ll break her neck if you set that thing on me!”
“I don’t negotiate with evil!” Yaw Boat replied furiously. “You don’t dictate to me!”
“I’ll kill her, boy!” Duke whispered. “Another death on your hands! Like your father’s death, remember? You killed your bloody father with your pride and ineptitude, boy, and you’re going to kill this girl too! That’s what you do, don’t you? Kill people with inadequacy, just like you killed your father!”
A look of sheer pain crossed Yaw Boat’s face, and he put his right hand to his head as memories of the Legion crashing his father’s head against the concrete roof of the underground chamber came to his head.
“Yeah, burn in pain, boy!” the Duke said. “You’ll rot in hell for killing your father!”
“Noooo!” Yaw Boat screamed with agony, and sudden tears came to his eyes uncontrollably and fell down his cheeks. “And when we need something, we bear it up to the Lord in prayer, and we believe we have it, and we shall have it…and I need Esi here, and I present my supplication to you, Lord, believing I have her, and so she will be at my side, in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ!”
Then Yaw Boat held out his left arm, and Esi fell from the sky and fell into his arms gently, and although he was crying, his eyes were filled with wrath and absolute destruction when he looked at the stunned Duke Swallows.
And so, for the first time in his life, the mighty Duke Swallows fled from an Unblind!
He shot into the sky with a screech of terror!
“Get him!” Yaw Boat whispered. “Give him pain!”
The Death Cloud roared with demented fury and crashed into the Duke, and they smashed down again on the ground. The fury of the Death Cloud was mingled with the screams of agony from the Duke, and the ground trembled with the depth of their struggle.
Esi had become a dead weight in Yaw Boat’s arm because she had fainted, and as he lowered her gently on the ground, it began to dawn on him that the Death Cloud was taking longer than usual to claim the Duke.
He scowled slightly and turned his head, and then he froze!
The Death Cloud was stripping the skin off Duke Swallows!
Boat had never seen anything like this before!
The human body covering shattered into two right through the middle, and the Death Cloud seemed to devour it! Normally, they would have taken the demons and soul of the man and left the body behind. But now they devoured the body and then the soul of Duke Swallows slowly ascended from the Death Cloud!
And this soul was shining, and white-like with a pair of great wings on his back!
Duke Swallows was a fallen angel!
Yaw Boat clambered to his feet and watched with horror as the fallen angel rose rapidly into the dark sky, paused for a moment and then impaled Yaw Boat with a very venomous and sinister look, and then it was gone!
Yaw Boat was shaken and absolutely floored!
This was not anything he had ever encountered, and that final look had been filled with wrath, humiliation and palpable threat! He knew he had just gotten himself involved with another vindictive dark agent and that the battle was going to be more horrible than ever, even than his fight with the Legion.
Boat’s heart sank, and as misery buffeted him, he turned around sharply as if by some inner intuitive antennae, and saw three men in dark suits walking quickly towards him from the far edge of the remaining forests.
Two of them were white men, and the other was a thin, tall, rugged elderly man in dark robes.
Just like it had been in the beginning…
When this same tall, lean man had appeared to him on the interchange and turned Boat’s life upside down, it was happening again now!
This same man!
Pastor Paul Anderson was once more walking toward Yaw Boat!
